Global youth-led organization empowering the next generation of energy leaders⚡️🌎

Student Energy is a global youth-led organization empowering the next generation of leaders who are accelerating the transition to a sustainable and equitable energy future. We work with a network of 50,000 young people from over 120 countries to build the knowledge, skills, and networks they need to take action on energy. Our Programs Ecosystem includes over 50 university-based chapters around the world, the international Student Energy Summit (SES), a digital Energy System Map that has reached over 17 million users, and a series of capacity-building programs including the Student Energy Fellowship, Career Training, and Guided Projects. Student Energy also works with governments, the UN, and other decision makers to facilitate meaningful youth engagement and mobilize resources, coaching, and mentorship to support youth-led work. Student Energy has built coalitions with over 100 diverse partners, such as Indigenous Clean Energy, Sustainable Energy for All, the Stockholm Environment Institute, DNV, WSP, and national governments like Canada, Denmark, and Sweden. Student Energy has stewarded CAD$10 million+ in funding to date, supported the development of over 280 youth energy projects.

September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in what is referred to as Canada, a day to honor residential school Survivors and the children who never came home.

We work in energy, a sector with its own history on Indigenous land and its own responsibility to get the future right. That's part of why this day matters to us, and why we wanted to build more than awareness this time.
Swipe through for a few starting points that move from awareness into action: ways to learn, ways to show up, and ways to support Survivor-led organizations doing this work.

If today is heavy for you or someone you know, there's a crisis line included too.

Every Child Matters.🧡

Our Student Energy Youth Fellows came together through the Clean Economy Bridge (TCB) Research Program to explore the people, policies, research, and innovations shaping the clean energy transition.

From the conference room to the living lab, the week was a reminder that advancing the clean economy takes more than good ideas; it takes evidence, collaboration, and action. 🌍

Take a look back at some of the moments that made this experience so impactful. ▶️
