UNIK UBC As the only club on campus that focuses on promoting Korean culture, UNIK aims to provide people opportunities to experience different aspects of korea

In 2011, a group of students with a passion to explore and celebrate diversity organized a large-scale event called the Korean Cultural Week (KCW) to promote Korean culture on UBC campus. The positive feedback encouraged the students to make KCW an annual event, leading to the establishment of the Korean Cultural Society (KCS), now named U and I Korea (UNIK). UNIK solely functions on the passion a

nd enthusiasm to create a community where each culture is appreciated. As the only club on campus that focuses on promoting Korean culture, UNIK primarily aims to provide UBC students and staff with opportunities to experience different aspects of Korean culture. We strive to offer new and exciting activities each year for those who do not know much about Korea to experience the culture first-hand. Ultimately, we would like to be acknowledged by people as an accessible and approachable group of students who passionately spread interest and provide knowledge regarding Korea.
