Life Sciences BC was proud to join the global life sciences community at the world’s largest biotechnology convention, where innovators, investors, and industry leaders came together to spark new connections, share ideas, and showcase the strength of the sector.

The week began with Wendy Hurlburt helping open the Canada Pavilion alongside Wendy Zatylny, Tim Houston, Robert Lantz, Jamie Moses, Tyler Allsopp, and Ritu Banerjee. LSBC was also pleased to host our international networking reception, welcoming guests from around the world for an evening of meaningful connection and collaboration.

Remarkable news! Researchers at UBC Faculty of Medicine have developed an AI model that can help identify heart health risks in breast cancer patients using information already collected during routine care.

By detecting cardiovascular disease risk earlier, the technology could support more personalized treatment decisions and improve long-term patient outcomes.

This breakthrough showcases the potential of AI to transform healthcare and enhance care for patients living with complex health conditions.
