Great News! Eupraxia has reached its target enrollment in the Phase 2b clinical trial investigating EP-104GI for the treatment of eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE).

This milestone brings Eupraxia closer to understanding the potential of EP-104GI as a new treatment for EoE, a chronic immune disease where eosinophils (white blood cells) build up in the esophagus, causing inflammation, injury, and difficulty swallowing.

“This is a significant milestone for the RESOLVE trial and the development of EP-104GI as a potential treatment option in EoE” said Dr. James Helliwell, Chief Executive Officer of Eupraxia.

Fantastic news! Canada’s Immuno-Engineering and Biomanufacturing Hub (CIEBH), led by the University of British Columbia, has secured $1.55 million in new federal funding to build on its pandemic preparedness efforts and support the integration of dual-use technologies.

Since its launch, CIEBH has been advancing innovative research platforms, strengthening Canada’s biomanufacturing capacity and helping move promising discoveries closer to patients. This new investment will build on that momentum, advancing the translation of Canadian innovation into new medicines while enhancing Canada’s readiness for a broader range of health security challenges.

“This investment will help us build on that progress, strengthening our ability to translate Canadian innovation into new medicines while preparing for a broader range of health security challenges,” said Dr. Michelle Wong, executive director of CIEBH and senior director, research, UBC Faculty of Medicine.
