The BC Cycling Coalition is the leading provincial voice of cycling for transportation, recreation and tourism. We and our 18 member organizations work with government, businesses and other organizations to make riding a bicycle a safe, comfortable and a practical choice for people of all ages and abilities. We work to:

When a cyclist or pedestrian is hit by a car in B.C., what happens next?

Under the no-fault model and Enhanced Care, damage awards are limited. Even if you don't have an auto insurance policy, you become an ICBC customer.

A special legislative committee is leading a review of these rules, and the public has until June 25 to submit written input.

A special legislative committee is accepting public input on no-fault insurance and Enhanced Care. For people who walk and bike on B.C. roads, this matters: these provisions shape what happens after a collision involving a motor vehicle.

Leading interval signal phasing (AKA an "advanced green") lets cyclists clear the intersection before cars start moving. It's a small change with stats to back it up: it reduces injury and death.
