What a season; what a year. β˜€οΈ

Our community came together in late August for the Concord Pacific Summer Dragon Boat Regatta- and what a gorgeous day it was! One of the highlights of our 2026 season, the day brought together over 80 teams, our community, and culture back to Concord Pacific Place. We had one last time to send off summer- and send off our teams to Worlds!

But now, we're done our warmup; the big show's coming up next. It's time to return to False Creek. The countdown to the continent's flagship dragon boat festival restarts anew, with even more anticipation and energy than ever. With a new look, a new direction, and a new focus, we're sharper than ever and ready to welcome you back to Vancouver in June.

Join us from June 25-27, 2027 for the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival's grand return. It's time to return to Vancouver. Visit concorddragonboatfestival.ca/register for more info.

Thank you to all of our racers, visitors, volunteers, community, and partners for the Concord Pacific Summer Dragon Boat Regatta for standing by us through a season like no other, especially our funding partners: Concord Pacific - Canada, TD, Oddball Workshop, Lincoln, Real Canadian Superstore, Canadian Heritage, Government of British Columbia, City of Vancouver - Local Government, and Sport Hosting Van.

Dragon Boat BC is pleased to announce that for the 2027 season onwards, the Chinatown Hub will transition out of Dragon Boat BC's operations, to Paddle360 under the new name TheHub360. Paddle360 will be solely responsible for all programming and operations in TheHub360. Dragon Boat BC's offices upstairs on the second floor remain part of our normal operations and are unaffected by this transition.

As part of this handover to Paddle360, TheHub360 is providing special offers for paddlers participating in the upcoming Dragon Boat Canada National Team camp as part of a soft launch on October 4, 8, 11, and 15 with early access pricing for a maximum of 16 spots available per hour.

Please direct any inquiries about using TheHub360, bookings, or general questions to [email protected]. For any inquiries about Dragon Boat BC programming, please contact [email protected].

Dragon Boat BC remains committed to our roots in Chinatown, and further focusing our resources on our founding mission of community, culture, and competition. We look forward to working with partners in our community as we evolve and grow for generations to come.

πŸ‚πŸ As the leaves start coming down, we reach the end of our racing season at home on False Creek. Our 2026 Oddball Fall Classic medal captures the vibrant colours we see around us as the leaves and season changes- and brings Oddball's striking new colours to life. And as always, there's a subtle reminder that stitch by stitch, stroke by stroke, we build community together. πŸ‚πŸ

Head to Olympic Village this Saturday as we close out a season like no other, with races from 9:00 onwards, a celebration of community on land, and come together one last time this year. Visit dragonboatbc.ca/fallclassic for more info.
