🌸🌼🌺 Join us for Jaanipäev on June 20th, 2026 at Mäeotsa, our annual midsummer celebration & fundraiser, and one of the most beloved gatherings of the Vancouver Estonian community. The funds raised help support the increasing costs of keeping the history of Mäeotsa alive for future generations.

Bring your family, your friends, and your summer spirit for a day filled with music, singing, folk dancing, jaanituli, food and bar service, games, and a lively raffle.

As the sun sets, the celebration continues with our evening dance party featuring three fantastic guest DJs: DJ Snuggles, Leah Ipsum, and Schemmatic. All three are cherished community members sharing their talent and energy with us.

Purchase your ticket before midnight on June 7th and receive a free raffle ticket at the gate.

🎟 Ticketing
Online ticket sales run until midnight on June 18th. Early campers are welcome on Friday evening, June 19th. If you plan to arrive on Friday, please RSVP by emailing [email protected].
***The hall will not be open until Saturday and there will be no food and drink sales on Friday.

If you cannot commit ahead of time, CASH ONLY gate tickets will be available.

📚 Introducing the new children’s book series “Friends Around the World”!

A wonderful project to share with families abroad and anyone helping introduce Estonian culture internationally.

Author Mari‑Ann Meigo Fonseca has created a book series that brings children into the everyday life of different countries — nature, food, traditions, and language.

The series currently includes books about Estonia and Portugal, with more on the way:
✨ Friends Around the World: Estonia (English edition coming soon)
✨ A new book about Croatia

The Estonia book is especially helpful for Estonian families living abroad and for international families who want to introduce Estonia to their children in a fun, friendly way. It supports connection, curiosity, and a sense of belonging.

🌲 MAI LAAGER — May 22–24 🌙
Our camping weekend is almost here!

Please note: Gates open after 6 PM on May 22 — the property won’t be accessible before then.

Once you’re in, the weekend is yours. There will be some games available, but the main plan is simple: enjoy nature, relax, and join in only if you feel like it.

🏕️ All setups welcome: tents, hammocks in the woods, RVs/campers — whatever feels like home for the weekend.

Come for the day, stay one night, or spend the whole weekend — totally up to you.

What’s available:
• Fridge + freezer space
• Kitchen in the tare
• Morning coffee
• Porta potties on site

What to bring:
• Your own food
• Drinking water
• Anything you need to be comfy outdoors

Let’s enjoy a peaceful, easygoing weekend together at Mäeotsa!

👩‍🌾Our May 2nd Talgud brought together happy helpers of every size, giving the garden around the tare some much‑needed care. A big thank‑you to everyone who joined!

The next Talgud (June 13th) will focus on preparing for Jaanipäev — a great opportunity to contribute directly to this beloved event.
