Our next Mäeotsa camping weekend is coming up.

This time it’s fully simple, just space to camp if you want a quiet few days outdoors.

Arrive anytime after 6 PM on July 31. The property won’t be accessible before then.

⛺ All setups welcome: tents, hammocks in the woods, RVs/campers — whatever feels comfortable for you.

Come for the day, stay one night, or settle in for the whole weekend — totally up to you.

Zonta Club of Tartu — Vancouver Visit

During their July visit, members of the Zonta Club of Tartu met with Estonian women at Meie Kodu for a warm gathering.

The photo shared by Tiina Rebane was taken at the opening day of the Zonta International 67th Congress in Vancouver, where she and Küllike Tuvikene proudly wore Estonian folk dress.

A lovely moment from their time here and a meaningful connection between our communities.

🍓✨ Noorte Laager 2026
What a lovely weekend at Mäeotsa. Kids, youth, and families spent three days playing, crafting, singing, and enjoying time together in the forest. So much laughter, sunshine, and community.

🍓✨Noorte Laager 2026 - Estonian Youth Camp in Vancouver. Still time to register for this year!

Join us for a weekend of fun and learning at the Vancouver Estonian School’s overnight Estonian Youth and Children Summer Camp from July 3 to July 5, 2026 at Mäeotsa (“at the top of the hill”) in Mission, BC!

This summer camp is open invitation: everyone is welcome, from grandparents to aunts, uncles, and beyond.

Combining Estonian traditions with classic camp fun, activities include a wide range of exciting games, engaging crafts, and the opportunity for youth and their families to immerse themselves in their Estonian heritage and create lasting memories with fellow campers and others.

🌸🌼🌺 Join us for Jaanipäev on June 20th, 2026 at Mäeotsa, our annual midsummer celebration & fundraiser, and one of the most beloved gatherings of the Vancouver Estonian community. The funds raised help support the increasing costs of keeping the history of Mäeotsa alive for future generations.

Bring your family, your friends, and your summer spirit for a day filled with music, singing, folk dancing, jaanituli, food and bar service, games, and a lively raffle.

As the sun sets, the celebration continues with our evening dance party featuring three fantastic guest DJs: DJ Snuggles, Leah Ipsum, and Schemmatic. All three are cherished community members sharing their talent and energy with us.

📚 Introducing the new children’s book series “Friends Around the World”!

A wonderful project to share with families abroad and anyone helping introduce Estonian culture internationally.

Author Mari‑Ann Meigo Fonseca has created a book series that brings children into the everyday life of different countries — nature, food, traditions, and language.

The series currently includes books about Estonia and Portugal, with more on the way:
✨ Friends Around the World: Estonia (English edition coming soon)
✨ A new book about Croatia

The Estonia book is especially helpful for Estonian families living abroad and for international families who want to introduce Estonia to their children in a fun, friendly way. It supports connection, curiosity, and a sense of belonging.
