Why Sibling Support Day?

“My brother is my entire world. My best friend. My inspiration.

Going to the movies is my favourite thing to do with my brother. But it’s not always easy. There’s a lot of sensory stimulation in a theatre and it doesn’t always feel accessible. I wanted to create a day that siblings can enjoy together, and that we as a community can celebrate the important role siblings play in their neurodivergent siblings’ life. I’m so proud that with the help our sponsors and volunteers we are hosting our 6th Sibling Support Day this Sunday. Thank you to everyone who helps make this day possible and a big thank you to all the siblings who join us each year and inspire me!”

Some highlights from our inaugural Inclusion in Motion walk! A 1km walk & family festival by Autism Support Network & Growing Together at the Pacific Autism Family Network.

The event was a fun filled day with smiling faces celebrating meaningful inclusion with a highlight on the important role siblings play in their neurodivergent siblings’ lives.

We are so excited to announce BC Lions is continuing their support for Growing Together, a sibling support network for autism + neurodiversity, as presenting sponsor for all 2025/26 events kicking off with an inaugural autism walk “Inclusion in Motion” co-hosted by Growing Together and Autism Support Network! ��

On September 14th, all families are invited to join this 1km walk and festival at Pacific Autism Family Network in Richmond. From 10am-2pm, families can participate in the walk, carnival games and prizes, face painting, photo and signature opportunities with BC Lions players and Leo the Lion!🏈

Inclusion in Motion, a 1K Walk & Family Festival, is a day dedicated to connection through motion, celebration, and inclusion. This annual event supports families impacted by autism and raises critical funds for two local charities: the Autism Support Network and the Pacific Autism Family Network .
