September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day 🧡

Today, we honour the children who never came home, Residential School Survivors, and the families and communities who continue to carry their stories.

It is also a time to reflect, listen, learn, and continue the work of reconciliation.

Collingwood BIA acknowledges that we are located on the unceded, traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our AGM! ❤️

It was great to connect with our local business community, look back at what we’ve accomplished, and talk about what’s ahead for Collingwood.

A big thank you to our members, Board, and everyone who continues to support our neighbourhood.

We’re excited for another year together!

Still thinking about this one ❤️

It’s already been a month since Collingwood Days, but we’re not quite ready to move on yet.

From the performances and workshops to the smiles, dancing, creativity, and little moments in between, these are a few of our favourite memories from an incredible week of celebrating our community.

Thank you again to everyone who showed up, participated, performed, sponsored, volunteered, and helped bring Collingwood Days to life.

We have a confession... 🧋

Sometimes all it takes to turn a day around is a really good bubble tea.

Luckily, Joyce Collingwood has plenty of great spots to choose from. Whether you’re loyal to brown sugar milk tea, a fruit tea fan, or someone who orders something completely different every time, there’s a drink waiting for you.

Did we miss your favourite bubble tea spot or your go to order? Let us know in the comments, we’re always looking for our next excuse to grab a drink! 💚

A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of celebrating 75 years of VPL Collingwood!

Since 1951, the Collingwood Branch has been a special part of our neighbourhood, bringing people together through stories, learning, and community.

The celebration included a reading session with around 40 children, led by the wonderful library team, and brought together many familiar faces from our community.

Congratulations to everyone at VPL Collingwood on this incredible milestone, and thank you for 75 years of serving our community.

Here’s to many more! ❤️📚
