EMPOWER 2026: A Legacy of Empowerment

For 53 years, the India Mahila (Women's) Association of BC has run entirely on volunteers and has never relied on government grants. In that time we have advocated for, supported and educated women across our community. Today that work continues through two endowments and eight awards given every year.

Please join us for an evening that celebrates this legacy. Your support helps us turn our endowment into continuing awards at VCC, KPU and Langara, so future generations of women can keep learning and leading.

Still inspired after celebrating International Women’s Day at CGI Vancouver with Raminder Dosanjh as a speaker for IMA at the event. 💐

From breaking barriers in alternative investments to championing women’s leadership, the conversation reminded us how powerful it is when women support women.

Grateful for this community, the stories shared, and the momentum we are building together.

Let's keep this conversation going all year long.

Celebrating International Women’s Day with India Mahila (Women’s) Association of BC

Today, we join the global community in celebrating International Women’s Day 2026.

At the India Mahila (Women’s) Association of BC (IMA), we honour the strength, resilience, and achievements of women who continue to shape our communities and inspire future generations. From empowering women through education and leadership programs to fostering cultural connection and support, our mission is rooted in unity and progress. This day reminds us that inclusion is not just a goal—it’s a shared responsibility. Together, we can create spaces where every woman is seen, heard, and valued.
Let’s continue to uplift one another, celebrate diversity, and build a future where equality thrives.

💜 Happy International Women’s Day!
