Still inspired after celebrating International Women’s Day at CGI Vancouver with Raminder Dosanjh as a speaker for IMA at the event. 💐

From breaking barriers in alternative investments to championing women’s leadership, the conversation reminded us how powerful it is when women support women.

Grateful for this community, the stories shared, and the momentum we are building together.

Let's keep this conversation going all year long.

Celebrating International Women’s Day with India Mahila (Women’s) Association of BC

Today, we join the global community in celebrating International Women’s Day 2026.

At the India Mahila (Women’s) Association of BC (IMA), we honour the strength, resilience, and achievements of women who continue to shape our communities and inspire future generations. From empowering women through education and leadership programs to fostering cultural connection and support, our mission is rooted in unity and progress. This day reminds us that inclusion is not just a goal—it’s a shared responsibility. Together, we can create spaces where every woman is seen, heard, and valued.
Let’s continue to uplift one another, celebrate diversity, and build a future where equality thrives.

A Powerful Afternoon at the IMA General Meeting – November 9, 2025 ✨

The India Mahila Association of BC was delighted to host our General Meeting this past Sunday at the Sunset Community Centre. It was a memorable gathering filled with meaningful conversations, community connection, and inspiration.

One of the highlights of the meeting was the screening of Whistle, a compelling short film by filmmaker Navjot Dhillon.

🎬 About the Film – WhistleWhistle sheds light on the everyday realities and challenges that women face. Through a strong and emotional narrative, the film encourages women to speak up, take charge, and embrace their inner strength. Its message of empowerment, awareness, and resilience strongly aligned with IMA’s mission of uplifting women and fostering change.

🌼 The screening sparked insightful discussions, reminding us that real transformation often begins with awareness and collective support within the community.

🙏 Our Heartfelt AppreciationA sincere thank-you to Navjot Dhillon for sharing her impactful film with the IMA community. Your storytelling is a powerful catalyst for conversation and progress, and we are honoured to highlight your work.

💕 Thank you to all our members and guests who joined us. Your engagement and participation make every gathering stronger and more meaningful.
