This week, Cause We Care awarded a total of $460,000 in grants to 22 frontline organizations supporting single mothers and their children across the Lower Mainland.

Each organization is doing important work to meet single mother-led families where they are, with programs spanning housing, childcare, counselling and other critical services that help mothers and their children move toward greater economic security and well being.

Thanks to our donors, we’re proud to support these organizations making a meaningful difference in the lives of single mothers and their children, and grateful to be able to continue this investment in our community.

Community Grant Highlight 💜
When a woman decides to leave an abusive situation, getting out safely can be one of the biggest barriers she faces.

Through our Community Grants Program, we’re proud to support Shelter Movers, whose Exiting Safely initiative provides free, trauma-informed moving and storage services for single mothers and their children fleeing abuse.

By removing the barriers to leaving, Shelter Movers empowers survivors to take the next step toward stability and healing.

Thank you to Elk Valley Resources for their generous $30,000 donation to the Single Mothers Support Fund. Support like this helps remove barriers for single mothers pursuing education and creates pathways toward long-term stability. This donation brings us closer to our goal of raising $1 Million during this campaign to support at least 100 moms with a Single Mothers Support Fund grant.
