Art for Impact

Art for Impact Celebrating the power of Art for Social Change. Also, lots of giggling and fun. And some dancing. Art for Impact is now a registered non-profit organization.

Art for Impact was formed in 2008 by Natalie Gan, Anna Kraulis and Alisa Stanton, who discovered their shared interest to merge art with broader social issues while studying in Simon Fraser University's dance program. Having begun as a house concert fundraiser, Art for Impact has since observed steady development in the scale of its projects, reaching wider audiences and gaining a reputation in th

e arts community for its ambitious productions. The organization's core team has since expanded to include Andrew Haw (joined in 2010), Kevin Harding (2012), and Rui Su (2012). Completely volunteer-run, AFI has produced 11 interdisciplinary shows to date raising funds for beneficiary organizations around the world that use the power of art to transform lives. Since 2013 Art for Impact has hosted "The Art of Change", workshops that encourage dialogue and empower artists to explore their work in relation to social change.
