❤️ COMMUNITY CALL-OUT: NO MORE STOLEN RELATIVES ❤️
Vancouver Aboriginal Health Society is developing a new organizational initiative dedicated to advocacy, education and meaningful action in support of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirit+ people.
As an Indigenous-led health organization, VAHS recognizes that advancing Indigenous health also means advancing justice. This work will be grounded in healing, cultural safety, accountability and the guidance of the communities we serve.
We want to begin with conversation and listening.
VAHS welcomes community members, grassroots advocates, families, survivors, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, service providers and organizations to connect with us and help shape this growing initiative.
We want to hear:
🧡 What supports, advocacy and education are most needed?
🧡 How can we meaningfully support the Calls for Justice?
🧡 What opportunities for culturally grounded healing and community connection should be created?
🧡 How can we work together to strengthen advocacy and collective action?
Whether you represent an organization, are already doing this work at the grassroots level, or have knowledge and lived experience you would like to share, we welcome the opportunity to connect.
This is long-term work. VAHS is committed to listening, learning, building relationships and taking meaningful action alongside community.
Interested in joining the conversation or exploring a partnership?
