As Thanksgiving comes to a close, we're reflecting on the people whose generosity helps strengthen our community.

We are especially grateful to Shirley Barnett for gifting our team a team-building experience at Stable Harvest Farm. The opportunity to connect, learn, and spend time together outside of our daily routines was both refreshing and inspiring, strengthening the relationships that support our work every day.

Thank you, Shirley, for investing in the people who help build stronger communities.

On World Homeless Day, we are reminded that addressing housing challenges requires collaboration, learning, and a shared commitment to community.

Earlier this week, our team came together for our Organizational Connect, a valuable opportunity to reflect, learn from one another, and strengthen our collective purpose.

The conversations reinforced the importance of working together to create stronger, more inclusive communities where everyone has a place to call home.

A wonderful evening of community, connection, and celebration.

On Tuesday, Tikva Housing was delighted to gather with tenants, donors, volunteers, Board members, staff, and community partners for a joyful Sukkot celebration. We are especially grateful to Rabbi Rosenblatt and Congregation Schara Tzedeck for their partnership and warm hospitality and helping to make this meaningful event possible.

As we mark Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah, we're reminded of the importance of community, connection, and belonging. These holidays invite us to celebrate together, reflect on the year behind us, and look ahead with hope for the year to come.

Together, we're building more than housing. We're helping create places where people can feel at home, connected, and supported.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the celebration such a success.

🎉 We were pleased to join community leaders, partners, donors, and supporters at the JWest groundbreaking ceremony, marking an exciting new chapter for Jewish community life in Metro Vancouver.​

The event celebrated years of vision, collaboration, and commitment that have brought this milestone to life. It was inspiring to hear about the partnerships, philanthropic leadership, and collective effort that made this project possible.​

The future Diamond Jewish Community Centre and Roadburg Campus will create new opportunities for connection, belonging, and engagement for generations to come.​

At Tikva Housing, we believe strong communities are built through meaningful partnerships and a shared commitment to creating opportunities for the future. We are grateful to be part of a broader community that continues to invest in spaces where people can gather, learn, connect, and thrive.​

Our Executive Director, Anat Gogo, and Chair Board Andrew Charney were pleased to attend and celebrate this important milestone alongside fellow community members.​

Could we build something like this on the North Shore?

Over the weekend, members of The Hollyburn Society team had the opportunity to visit Storeys in Richmond — an incredible example of what can happen when organizations come together around a shared vision.

Storeys brings affordable housing and community services together under one roof, made possible through a unique partnership between Tikva Housing Society, , , S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and .

Five organizations. Shared space. Shared resources. A shared commitment to creating better outcomes for people in the community.

It got us thinking: Could a project like this come together on the North Shore?
