The Federation of Canadian Artist is a membership-driven, not-for-profit organization, founded in 1941 by Canadian artist, one of whom was Group of Seven luminary Lawren Harris. The FCA is dedicated to provide
an opportunity for artistic growth, professional development and accreditation to visual artists of various skill levels, with the aim to promote and improve the recognition and professional

standing of practicing artists in the community and to stimulate public interest in the growth of Canadian culture. Our activities include workshops, juried and non-juried gallery exhibitions, print publications, critiques, demonstrations, special events, and much more. With over 2,400 members and 11 Chapters in Western Canada, the FCA provides a strong networking service for emerging and established artist, as well as everyone who appreciates art.

Her florals portray the exquisite rhythm and flow which are at the root of nature surrounding us. They are larger-than-life, close up and personal , inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the painting. They are an open invitation into the heart and soul of the natural world, a reminder of the peace and tranquility that exists if we but look for it. ⁠

Her work is shown in galleries across Canada and held in collections around the world. She is a Senior member of the FCA and an Associate Member of the Oil Painters of America.⁠

The workshop will also introduce pen-and-ink techniques that can be seamlessly integrated into acrylic painting to create rich surface textures. You'll explore methods such as cross-hatching, stippling, and ink washes to suggest weathered stone, cracks, and mineral details, including the distinctive mica found in British Columbia's granite formations.
