Rain and all, you showed up to celebrate one of BC’s greatest summer traditions with us.

Every year, gathering with our friends at BC Dungeness Crab to showcase our incredible BC Dungeness crab reminds us why we love what we do. It’s about more than great seafood—it’s about the fishers, chefs, producers, volunteers, and community that make our local food system so special.

To everyone who braved the weather, cracked some crab, and supported local, thank you for making this year’s festival another one to remember 🙌🏻

Calling all seafood lovers! If you enjoy fresh local sustainable seafood, then you won’t want to miss out on this epic crab boil feast happening on Sunday July 26 from noon till 4pm at the False Creek Fishermen’s Wharf. Join us for a fun summer afternoon enjoying a delicious BC Dungeness crab boil, sipping on local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and live music and games - all in support of the BC Crab Fishermen’s Association and Chefs’ Table Society of BC.

Special thanks to Leila (Leila Kwok | Vancouver Food + Travel Photographer) for leading a masterclass in food photography and styling, and for capturing chef portraits, helping culinary students build their portfolios as they prepare to enter the industry.

Congratulations to the 2026 John Bishop Scholarship recipients!

Each recipient receives a free ticket to COOKSCAMP happening September 16-18 and $125 cash to help cover travel to North Arm Farm. This scholarship honours John Bishop’s legacy of mentorship and his belief in investing in the next generation of BC’s culinary talent.

Crab season is officially here!

Several B.C. crabbing areas opened up this week, kicking off the season with more areas to follow in the coming weeks.

A huge thank you to the hardworking fishing families who are bringing B.C. Dungeness crab from the water to our tables. Their work is the backbone of a fishery built on sustainable practice, season after season.

There’s no better way to celebrate than at the 4th annual False Creek Crab Fest! Join us on Sunday July 26th at False Creek Harbour Authority Fishermen’s Wharf to dig into a delicious crab boil and support the fishery that makes it all possible BC Dungeness Crab 🧡
