We work with with local businesses to recognize and reward tourism, hospitality and customer service employees who go beyond the call of duty. Established in 1989, the Vancouver Tourism Awards Program is a partnership of local tourism businesses. These important partnerships ensure that our city’s front-line service providers are rewarded for a job well done through certificates of nomination, monthly award presentations, and at the annual gala event.

𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 💙

What started as a meaningful visit to the Vancouver Aquarium quickly turned into a sudden medical situation.

In a critical moment, Liam Robertson acted without hesitation – stepping in to save a guest’s life with quick and decisive action. Alongside him, Anja Pocuca provided calm, compassion and control, helping guide a distressing situation with care and professionalism.

Their response not only saved a life, but also brought comfort, dignity, and reassurance to a family in their moment of need.

It was a rewarding morning of excitement, as close to 800 attendees filled the ballroom at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver recently at the 34th Annual Vancouver Tourism Awards Breakfast Gala to celebrate & honour hospitality professionals who have offered exceptional service.
