After 3 weeks of resumed US bombing and attacks against Iran, on July 30 yet another US bombing targeted civilians, killing a mother, father and their a two-year old child on Qeshm Island. While the US is targeting civilian residential areas and critical infrastructure, Iran's retaliatory strikes are hitting US military targets in the region.

Every day the Zionist regime violates ceasefires and agreements, continuing their bloody war drive and genocide. Reports of yet another deal in Gaza by the so-called "Board of Peace" hold no credibility, while under the 10 month so-called ceasefire the death toll is more than 1210 Palestinians killed in Gaza by Zionist Israeli forces. Palestinians in West Bank are also facing escalated attacks since 4 Palestinians were killed last week, while armed Zionist settlers and Israeli military forces have raided and destroyed homes, attacked villages and shot, assaulted and detained Palestinians.

Despite the US/Israeli imposed genocide, war and immense brutality, the collective resistance and determination is unbroken, from Palestine to Lebanon to Yemen to Iran and across West Asia. Today people around the world have joined the movement in solidarity with Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen and Iran, fighting for self-determination and liberation from rallies and marches to flotillas and convoys. Together the world is demanding:

On February 27 the US and Zionist Israel launched unprovoked attacks against Iran, after months of escalating threats and the amassing of U.S. military forces in the region. These vicious attacks on Iran came just hours after negotiations between the US in Iran in Geneva - while Iran was negotiating in good faith, the US was preparing their attack on people of Iran. Iran is now defending itself with strikes against Zionist Israel and US bases throughout West Asia, including the infamous US 5th Fleet in Bahrain.

Given the track record of war crimes by Zionist Israel and the US in 29 months of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, it should be no surprise that the strikes on Iran have targeted civilians. At least 60 girls were killed today, when an Iranian girls elementary school was struck by US/Israeli bombing.

Metro Vancouver United for Palestine (MVUP), as one of 60 members in the Canada-Wide Peace and Justice Network (CWPJN), is responding to the CWPJN urgent call to action.
