We are so excited about the Marpole-Oakridge Community Centre!! 🎉

After nearly 77 years at 990 West 59th Avenue, the time has come for a new chapter!
The Marpole-Oakridge Community Centre will close Saturday, October 31 at 4:00 pm.

We are excited to welcome you to the new Marpole Community Centre at 7780 Oak Street, opening Monday, November 16, 2026.

Both facilities will be closed November 1–15 while we make the transition.

We look forward to welcoming you to our new home and continuing to serve the Marpole Community!

Our annual Blessing of the Animals takes place at 2 pm on Sunday Oct 4th.

We welcome all our of non-human sisters & brothers.

If your animal companion is too shy to attend, you can bring a photo for a blessing. Please ensure that all animals are leashed or otherwise controlled.

Goodbye September, hello October! 🍂⁠

The mornings are getting cooler, the light is starting to change, and now we’re instinctively reaching for a jacket before heading out the door.⁠

But around Marpole, there’s still plenty of life happening outside - neighbours grabbing coffee, people strolling along Granville, patios making the most of those last sunny afternoons, and the neighbourhood settling into a new season.⁠

The Marpole Branch Library will be closing from November 3rd 2026 to Spring 2027. This is due to the renovation and expansion of the Library into the former Salvation Army Store space. We look forwrad to the opening of Marpole's new and expanded Vancouver Public Library next year!
