This Fall we held an informative BC Symposium; our first large education event in BC since 2019. The day involved breakout rooms on a variety of topics that included: ongoing research, IBD 101, pain management, mental health, diet/nutrition, and ostomy care. The day ended with an informative panel open to questions from participants.

Speakers included: Gina Almasan (IBD Centre of British Columbia), Kathleen Duddy (BC Children's Hospital), Dr. Nancy Fu (Richmond General Hospital), Dr. Simon Lisaingo (UBC), Dr. Laura Sly (UBC), and Lauren Wolfe (Macdonald’s Prescriptions).

We wish to thank our amazing sponsors George Pick and Santi Pelaez for making this event possible. Thank you to our incredible speakers, volunteers and participants for making it a great day of learning and sharing.

What topics would you like to hear about future education events? Let us know in the comments! Interested in our future events, send an email to Teri, [email protected] to be added to our list.
