Marquis Lung's Northern Shaolin school put in a very clean and sharp dragon dance routine, taking home the gold medals and trophy.

This team is helping lead dragon dance in BC to the next level of competition.

Congratulations to our Juniors gold medal winner! Hong De Canada's junior team had a fun lion and exciting routine helping these young athletes take home the first place prize.

Thank you to all the coaches, parents, friends and family that help the young athletes in our community train and grow. Our Canadian lion dance community is constantly developing and improving, the young lion dancers in the junior division are the next generation of champions.

The CanAm Championships is back again for the 44th year and for the first time will act as a selection competition for qualifying Canadian teams to represent Canada internationally.
At the news conference Sifu Josh reiterated the importance of the competition at large and for Canadian Dragon and Lion Dancers to build community and promote our sport and culture.

Registration is open for Canadian Dragon and Lion teams as well as martial artists. See you there May 8-10,2026

On the Road To Nationals, join us for these online seminars Saturdays on the lead up to the National Competition. These are designed as 1 hour short seminars to cover a wide range of topics for competition.
1. The first will cover the elements of racing and lot draw events. These events take place at the world championship and Canada is uniquely positioned to do well. Join us to learn about these exciting events. 🏁
2. Training review. Join in and get some ideas for what to improve in your training to be at your optimal for competition. πŸ‹οΈ
3. Understanding Scores will discuss the relevant scoring criteria for dragon and lion dance. Know the scoring and be prepared to bring home a medal πŸ…πŸ…πŸ…
4. Judges review. For our Canadian judges to brush up and new comers get an idea for judging.
5. Last checks. Get all your ducks (or lions) in a row and make sure you're 100% set to compete! βœ…
