The impact of this weekend will ripple through our local groups for years to come—fostering stronger relationships between volunteers, sharing best practices, and helping Scouting grow stronger. 🌲🤝

Looking back at an incredible journey! 🌍✈️

Before we could welcome our international guests, a massive amount of planning and preparation went on behind the scenes. Our crew spent months organizing pre-trip activities, coordinating logistics, and getting everything ready to host a project of this scale. 🛠️🗺️

All that hard work and anticipation paved the way for an unforgettable milestone: welcoming our very first group of international visitors to Vancouver! 🇨🇦✈️ Seeing them arrive and kicking off the exchange made every single hour of preparation entirely worth it.

After experiencing the legendary hospitality of the Scouting communities in Malaysia and Singapore firsthand during our travels in 2015 and 2024, it was an absolute privilege to bring things full circle. Being able to host these outstanding youth from Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan right here in Vancouver is something we won't soon forget. ⚜️❤️

A massive thank you to everyone who put in the work during the pre-trip phase to make this exchange a reality, and to our global Scouting family for making the world feel just a little bit smaller.

Next up, we have an absolutely monumental achievement to celebrate! Our amazing Group Commissioner, Scouter Elizabeth, has been awarded the prestigious Silver Acorn! 🍁🥈🐿️

What is the Silver Acorn? It is one of the highest honors in Scouts Canada, awarded only to adult members who have rendered especially distinguished service to the Scouting Movement over many years. It recognizes leaders who have shown exceptional, nationwide-caliber leadership, profound dedication, and an impact that shapes the very future of Scouting and our youth.

As our GC, Elizabeth works tirelessly both on the front lines and behind the scenes to keep our entire group running smoothly, safely, and successfully.
