ExxonMobil Corp. (West Coast Canada LNG)
Kitimat LNG (Chevron Canada and Woodside)
LNG Canada (Shell Canada Energy, PetroChina, KOGAS and Mitsubishi C

orporation)
Triton LNG (AltaGas and Idemitsu Canada)
Woodfibre LNG
Fortis BC
Grassy Point LNG (Woodside Australia)

The Alliance aims to:

Foster a globally competitive LNG export industry for the benefit of British Columbians and Canadians
Ensure the industry is developed to the highest environmental and safety standards
Engage with, listen to and address the concerns of communities, First Nations and stakeholders
Provide the public with reliable information about our industry, our operations and best practices, as well as the challenges and opportunities we face as a new industry. Work with governments to ensure there are policies and programs in place that will enable our industry to reach its full potential.

"Experts in the sector say Canada’s advantages as a West Coast LNG exporter are considerable. They include the significant low-cost supply from western gas fields such as the giant Montney formation that straddles the border between Northern B.C. and Alberta, shorter shipping distances to Asian markets, access to renewable hydroelectricity and a colder climate than U.S. Gulf Coast competitors who must expend more energy to cool gas through the liquefaction process. In combination, these factors mean LNG Canada’s facility in Kitimat will have one of the lowest carbon intensities of any LNG project in the world."

More than 70% complete, LNG Canada promises to unlock the full economic potential of Canada’s rich gas reserves for the first time. Read on.

"Now into its fourth year of construction, LNG Canada’s export facility is more than 60 per cent complete and on track to deliver its first LNG cargo by mid-decade. Canadian LNG will help provide security of supply for countries that will be able to rely on our vast reserves to advance their economies.
The world gas market is interconnected. Our helping to meet the growing need for LNG in Asia will both ease supply issues in Europe and reduce global GHG emissions. And we have designed LNG Canada to have the lowest carbon intensity of any large-scale LNG export facility operating in the world today."
