New Volunteer Introduction and Networking Event | Welcoming Young Volunteers to Join Us.


慈濟加拿大分會，1992年在溫哥華成立，至今30餘年，為了召募更多年輕的新血輪，慈濟加拿大分會舉辦「新發意志工成長交流會」。活動現場除了由資深志工介紹，慈濟與在地食物銀行的共善情誼，也邀請慈濟國際中醫學院主任，分享日常養生，並安排靜思語破冰遊戲，期待未來有更多僑界人士或在地民眾，一起服務社區。

Tzu Chi Canada was established in Vancouver in 1992 and has been serving the community for more than 30 years.

To welcome more young people and inspire a new generation of volunteers, Tzu Chi Canada recently hosted a **New Volunteer Growth & Experience Sharing Event**.

During the gathering, experienced volunteers shared the meaningful partnership between Tzu Chi and local food bank organizations, highlighting how we can work together to care for and support the community.

The event also featured a wellness talk by the Director of Tzu Chi International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, who shared practical tips for maintaining health in everyday life. Participants also took part in fun icebreaker activities inspired by **Jing Si Aphorisms**, creating opportunities to connect, share, and learn from one another.

We hope to welcome more members of the Chinese-Canadian community and local residents to join us in serving the community and spreading love and kindness.

To celebrate Teachers’ Day, Vancouver Tzu Chi Academy in Canada held a warm and meaningful tea ceremony, giving students an opportunity to express their gratitude and respect for their teachers.

Through the simple act of serving tea, the students were encouraged to appreciate the care, guidance, and dedication their teachers have given them.

加拿大老人樂齡班 中秋佳節展演互動｜ #大愛新聞 #加拿大慈濟樂齡班 #長者關懷

海外照樣能過上中秋節！慈濟在加拿大列治文區開辦老人樂齡班，最近帶著鼓隊成員到「中僑老人院」，用精彩展演，陪伴另一群華裔銀髮族歡度中秋。

鼓聲奏起，點個讚吧，因為年齡都是「六七字頭」起跳的老一輩。但是，咦？這敲的是鼓嗎？

此鼓非真鼓，而是玩創意的冰淇淋桶。他們是慈濟在加拿大成立樂齡班的擊鼓隊，數月苦練，頭一遭到老人院「獻寶」，不過敲桶子還不夠過癮，是時候讓大家瞧瞧真正的技術。

儘管是社會歷練過的老前輩，但在此之前，有些人不曾如此驕傲地展現自我。把手腦並用，神經協調的成果，分享台前老人院的銀髮族；老歸老，活力一點也不少。

「他要來教我們手指操，手指操，那等一下，你們都把雙手借給我好嗎。」

位於加拿大列治文區的慈濟樂齡班還很年輕，今年二月才成立，還另外開設好多人文課程。這回鼓隊大放異彩，讓中秋節除了團圓，還促成溫馨的老老互動情。

34 Years of Compassion in Canada — Growing Together as One Family ❤️
慈濟在加拿大已經34年，日前，慈濟加拿大分會邀約榮董以及多年護持慈濟的好朋友們，到會所茶敘。烏克蘭兒童特地帶來舞蹈演出，表達感恩。

邀請榮董、實業家與志工們團聚，回憶加拿大慈濟，已經深耕34年。

慈濟加拿大分會執行長 苗萬輝：「過去從1992年，感謝何(國慶)師兄，把種子帶來這裡，從1992年到現在，到去年底，我們總共投入了188萬小時，幫忙的人，超過63萬人。」

從庇護所義剪、學校愛心早餐，到慈濟中醫學院，慈濟人文生活化，有實業家從上人開示中，想著母親也是同樣地給孩子品德教育。

實業家 蔡銀子：「我來慈濟，真的是很感動，學習到一句話，因為我的家庭喔，我的媽媽就教我們，手心要向下，所以在慈濟，我又學到，有願就有力，這句真的很好用，我很感動。」

不論加拿大東岸或西岸，慈濟對新移民關懷有加，來自烏克蘭的兒童，特地帶來精彩的舞蹈演出，回饋慈濟的無私照顧。

For 34 years, Tzu Chi has been bringing love, compassion, and care to communities across Canada. 🇨🇦

Recently, Tzu Chi Canada welcomed honorary board members, business leaders, volunteers, and longtime friends to a warm afternoon tea gathering at the chapter office. It was a beautiful opportunity to reconnect, share memories, and celebrate 34 years of walking this journey together.

Since Tzu Chi first took root in Canada in 1992, countless acts of kindness have touched lives across the country. By the end of last year, Tzu Chi volunteers had contributed more than **1.88 million volunteer hours** and reached **over 630,000 people** through various humanitarian efforts.

From offering free haircuts at shelters and providing caring school breakfast programs, to promoting holistic health through Tzu Chi’s College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tzu Chi has continued to bring compassion into everyday life.

One longtime supporter shared how deeply Tzu Chi’s teachings resonated with the values she learned from her mother:

> “My mother always taught us to give and help others. At Tzu Chi, I learned another beautiful lesson: Where there is a will, there is strength. These words have stayed with me and continue to inspire me.”

Across both the East and West Coasts of Canada, Tzu Chi continues to care for new immigrants and families in need.

At the gathering, Ukrainian children who have received support from Tzu Chi shared their gratitude through a joyful and heartfelt dance performance. Their smiles and energy made the celebration even more meaningful. 💕🇺🇦

For 34 years, we have been blessed to walk together, care for one another, and plant seeds of love throughout Canada.
