A small band with a big sound, Dead Summer is a Canadian alt-rock duo built on hooky riffs, bombastic drums, heavy grooves and songwriting that balances vulnerability with a little bit of sass. Formed in 2024 by Nate Prevedoros and Michael Wilford in Victoria, BC, Dead Summer’s sound is reminiscent of bands like Royal Blood or The White Stripes with added pop sensibility as seasoning.

Dead Summer writes rock music that demands attention; from the earworm choruses of Melodramatic to the in-your-face riffs of Sweetly and Take it or Leave it, these songs are built for sweaty audiences and powerful sound systems.

is a Vancouver-based indie-pop duo formed by singer-songwriter Sarah Orr and multi-instrumentalist Cameron McGregor.

The duo’s songs explore themes of identity, relationships, authenticity, and change, driven by shimmering synthesizers and punchy drums. Blending the danceable grooves of '70s and '80s disco and funk with the edge of modern alternative pop, ORRA balances nostalgia with late-night melancholy.

ORRA is set to release their debut EP “Hold On To Yourself” on October 23rd, exploring the duo’s journey of self-discovery.

Recently, we headed to Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, Germany, and were proud to showcase two incredible BC artists, WAIT//LESS and Snotty Nose Rez Kids, at Canada House! 🇨🇦🎶

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support these Canadian artists, connect with us, and be part of the experience. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and make new connections along the way!

We’d also like to extend our thanks to Creative BC, the Province of British Columbia, FACTOR, and the Government of Canada for helping make this initiative possible.

Until next time, Hamburg! 🇩🇪🎶
