Educating people about Saving Oceans for all life and ethical wildlife watching and research. Marine Life Programs
1.

Whale and Dolphin Hotline: To report marine wildlife stranding, harassment and/or sightings.
2. Lifeforce Orca Research: Our research has contributed to obtaining Endangered Species status for orca populations. Lifeforce developed methodology to protect orcas from harm in the event of oil spills and other environmental hazards. We also have studied methods to prevent the entanglement of marine ma

mmals from various fishing methods.
3. Orca Trails: Developing a land based whale watch program.
4. Lifewatch Boater Awareness Program: Distribute Whale Watch laws to boaters on the water and to the general public. We also conduct investigations of cruelty to marine wildlife. Fines have been laid against commercial and private boaters.
5. Marine Wildlife Rescue: Lifeforce provides a 24-hour service to respond to marine wildlife injury, sickness, abandonment, stranding and other emergencies
6. Marine Educational Materials and Displays: Lifeforce publishes educational materials such as the Whale Watch Guidelines and a Orca Field Guide. We also create educational displays such as the Orca Center in Point Roberts, WA.
7. Orca Recovery Plans: Over the years Lifeforce has contributed to the development of Orca Recovery Plans and to improve Marine Mammal Protection Regulations.
8. Orca Awareness Month: In recognition for the need to protect these endangered species and will continue to expose the plight of orcas and other marine wildlife imprisoned in aquariums. We raise attention to the need in June but continue this work throughout the year. The LIFEFORCE FOUNDATION is a Vancouver based ecology organization that was formed in 1981 to provide a public service to help people, animals and the environment. If donations permit Lifeforce will be conducting several Marine Life Programs.

Did you know that some Humpbacks may checkout boaters/boats? It is usually 1 or 2 whales but here are 3 who then swam off into the sunset!

In Rememberance of Dr. Jane Goodall...
I had discussed with Jane that the rights of all animals, not just primates, must be protected.
In the 80s Lifeforce laid the first Cruelty to Animal Charges in Canada. Researchers were experimenting on wild caught baboons who were kept in restraint devices for months.
They agreed to stop their inhumane experiments so I/Lifeforce Foundation dropped the charges.

A World Respecting All Life > Stop the Wars, Stop the Killings!

Lifeforce hopes that you are enjoying our Wildlife Humour videos and photos throughout the Holidays. There are many more to find if you scroll through the entire Facebook.

For centuries, all human races have caused endless wars plundering all life. We enslaved and killed each other and wildlife. And it continues. From wildlife who are killed for food, imprisoned for amusement; hunted for trophies and much, much more. Some even claimed it was culture and ceremonial over the centuries perpetuating human slavery.

For 45 years Lifeforce has tried to stop the sufferings of people and animals. In order to extend our circle of compassion to all life, humans must “Respect All Life” because violence will beget violence. Sadly, the speciesism and wars continues. I had hoped that all humans would eventually stop disrespecting life. We wonder if it will ever end. Let’s now try to change that!
