Our Story

At AiSPI we believe that advancing science without animals is not only possible, but is ethically required for a just society.

The latest Canadian data shows that close to 4 million animals were used in Canadian science in 2018. Meanwhile, so called ‘animal models’ are failing us – an average 95% of drugs tested in animals fail at human clinical trial.

We are transforming science culture by training the next generation of scientists, and we are reforming policy in Canada so that the development and implementation of non-animal methods become top priority.

It’s time for a new approach.
