Before the global spotlight hit Vancouver, something remarkable happened behind the scenes. 🌟

Vancouver Startup Week 2025 brought together 5000+ attendees, 200 speakers, and 100 volunteers — not for show, but for readiness. We helped founders sharpen their stories, build real relationships, and step into Web Summit with confidence.

VSW isn’t a pop-up event. It’s a grassroots movement 11 years strong, powered by volunteers, rooted in community, and built to last. 💪

Start local. Think global. That’s what we’re about.

⚡️Real talk, real impact—with a side of AI.
When we asked Ray Walia for an interview, his AI clone sent us the first draft. (Yes, really.) But what followed was pure Launch Academy: human grit, tech-forward thinking, and community-first values.

Read how Ray Walia and Sam Chan, two leaders rooted in immigrant hustle, turned a tiny Gastown loft into a launchpad for 6,500+ founders and $2.5B in funding.

And that’s a wrap on Vancouver Startup Week 2025! Day 4 of VSW was a grand finale that went out with a bang 💥full of founder fuel, future-focused tech, and unforgettable moments across the city.

The morning kicked off with startup wisdom straight from the source: the Techstars San Diego Founder Panel powered by SDSU gathered accelerator alumni to drop unfiltered gems on scaling, failure, and what keeps them building 🔧

AugSense + Smith Horn Group cracked open the future of AI Agents for product builders 🤖— think smarter workflows, faster decisions, and tech that works with you, not just for you.

The city kept buzzing with bold ideas at VTJ Talks where BC’s D2C trailblazers revealed how they built brands that actually cut through the noise⚡While Anna Gradie led a powerful session on science-backed strategies to lead with confidence and clarity 🧠

Inside View x Vancouver’s Microsoft 365 Community took us deep with a triple threat of tech + equity sessions:
1️⃣ Architecting for Scale – laying the tech foundation for future growth
2️⃣ Pitching to Win – storytelling strategies to secure customers + capital
3️⃣ Designing with Strategy – how early UX decisions shape product destiny 🎯

In the afternoon, Lotus STEMM delivered heart and purpose with Breaking Barriers, spotlighting the stories of South Asian women in tech & entrepreneurship 🌸💼 ProfitPad dove into founder evolution by exploring the leap from full-time to freelance to founder and Nubel spotlighted 4 emerging startups transforming the talent acquisition and recruitment scene 🌟

We rounded out the week with Web Summit’s How to Win a Pitch Competition arming founders with razor-sharp tips to turn a pitch into a yes 🎤

And of course… we partied. The VSW 2025 Closing Party was the perfect send-off, a night where founders, funders, and friends raised a glass (or two) to a four packed days of connection, ambition, and momentum.

As we pass the torch to Web Summit Vancouver, we close out the week the way we started it: together. 💙 Thank you for starting local and thinking global with us.
