Why Your Donation Matters: Creating Connection and Community

Donating to the Cerebral Palsy Association of BC matters because it directly changes what daily life looks like for people living with cerebral palsy—and for their families. Support isn’t “one-size-fits-all,” and that’s where CPABC plays a critical role.

Here is reason 2 of our top 6 on why donations are so important:

2. Reducing isolation and building communityPrograms funded by donors—like social groups, camps, and recreational activities—create spaces where people can connect with others who share similar experiences. That sense of belonging can be life-changing, especially for those who may otherwise feel isolated.

Sign up as a monthly donor by June 30th, 11:59 PM to be entered in a draw to win a $500 Amazon gift card

https://bccerebralpalsy.com/support-us/donate/

A tax receipt will be sent out during the month of February that covers all your monthly donations from the previous year. An email will be sent to you when it’s ready so you can download it.

Together, we Connect People with Cerebral Palsy.

Donating to the Cerebral Palsy Association of BC matters because it directly changes what daily life looks like for people living with cerebral palsy—and for their families.
At its core, CP isn’t just a medical condition—it affects mobility, communication, independence, and social connection. Support isn’t “one-size-fits-all,” and that’s where CPABC plays a critical role.

Here is reason 1 of our top 6 on why donations are so important:

1. Access to essential equipmentMany individuals with CP need specialized equipment—like communication devices, mobility aids, or adapted technology—that isn’t fully covered by healthcare. Donations help bridge that gap, giving people tools to communicate, learn, and live more independently.
