SPEC is the oldest environmental non-profit in British Columbia, we work on advocacy, education and urban sustainability.

Get involved by joining a committee or attending an event! We are a non-profit charitable organization that addresses environmental issues in British Columbia, with a particular focus on urban communities in the Lower Mainland and the Georgia Basin. Through our public education programs and advocacy work, we are dedicated to raising public awareness on environmental issues, and encouraging the com

munity to integrate practices that lead to urban sustainability. We focus on 5 main areas: food, energy, waste, transportation and land & water conservation.
