Do you want to learn a new instrument in a supportive, fun environment? Do you wish you’d been able to go to rock camp when you were a girl? Then join us at the Waldorf Hotel for the second annual Ladies Rock Camp Vancouver, May 25-27, 2012! LRC Vancouver is a three-day version of Girls Rock Camp Vancouver, which had its first session in summer 2009. Girls Rock Camp is an international non-profit
organization that was created as a forum to help girls ages 8-18 build self-esteem through music creation and performance. At LRC Vancouver, ladies of all ages and skill levels – absolute beginners welcome! – will get a chance to do just that – they will form bands, write songs together, and perform their original songs at an amazing showcase. And the coolest part of all is that all the proceeds from LRC go toward providing food and supplies for Girls Rock Camp Vancouver. The cost for all this coolness: $350 -- not bad considering that you’d pay at least that much for the amount of music instruction you’ll receive. Only 16 spots are available for LRC Vancouver, and registration opens on Monday, March 12. If you can’t attend LRC but would like to help out Girls Rock Camp Vancouver, you can make a donation at the same website. Volunteer and camper applications coming on Monday March 12.
