Do you consider yourself lucky?

It sounds like a throwaway question. It isn’t.

Some people seem to notice more opportunities, meet more people, and create more chances for good things to happen.

This Wednesday at VETC, our theme is:

*How to Get Lucky 🍀*

You track your revenue.

Your investments.

Your business portfolio.

But when was the last time you checked your happiness portfolio?

Most of us put everything into one stock:

Work. Then one bad quarter...

And everything dips with it.

The answer isn't more hustle.

It's diversification.

Friendships.

Health.

Family.

Learning.

Purpose.

Those compound too.

How to build a life that holds together, even when one part falls apart.

BOWLING NIGHT at VETC

A night full of laughter, strikes, and shared memories with our amazing members, friends and family. Beyond our weekly formal meetings, moments like these bring us together in the most natural and joyful way.

Because at VETC, connection doesn’t only happen at the podium — it happens in every cheer, every friendly competition, and every moment we create together.

The theme for the evening is based on our Toastmaster favourite quote by Naval Ravikant:

“Desire is a contract you make with yourself to be unhappy until you get what you want. I don’t think most of us realize that’s what it is. I think we go about desiring things all day long and then wonder why we’re unhappy. I like to stay aware of it, because then I can choose my desires very carefully. I try not to have more than one big desire in my life at any given time, and I also recognize it as the axis of my suffering. I realize the area where I’ve chosen to be unhappy.”

What is the axis of your suffering? Do you have more than one? Were you intentional in choosing them?

Come to this week’s meeting so we can go deeper into these topics.

When Michelangelo created David,
he didn’t add marble. He removed everything that wasn’t David.

Winning works the same way. Not more goals. Not more pressure.
Cut what doesn’t belong.

The wrong habits.
The wrong rooms.
The wrong distractions.

THEME OF THE WEEK:
“How to Build a Winning Team.”
This session will focus on the key elements that transform a group of individuals into a truly winning team. Expect strong insights, engaging speeches — including one Tall Tale speech, a fun Table Topics competition, and plenty of opportunities to sharpen your communication skills.

Also, we have 3 new members taking on roles for the first time, so let’s show up, cheer them on, and fully support them!

Looking forward to seeing you all and sharing a great session together.
