The SCCC 2026 Annual General Meeting was a great success, and we would like to thank all board members and members who attended yesterday! 🇨🇦🇨🇭

The AGM itself was both reflective and forward-looking. Members expressed heartfelt thanks to outgoing board members while warmly welcoming new ones. Appreciation was also extended to advisors from the Swiss Consulate in Vancouver and Honorary Consulate in Calgary, as well as long-standing advisors—many former Chamber Presidents—who continue to offer their expertise despite busy professional commitments.

We would like to thank the outgoing board members for their dedication to the Chamber. And we warmly welcome our new board members, who are full of energy and ideas to contribute their ideas to the board.

We look forward to an exciting year 2025/2026 with many upcoming events such as and the world cup.

It is with profound sadness that the Swiss Canadian Chamber of Commerce Vancouver extends our deepest condolences on the tragic loss of three Swiss nationals — a father and his two sons — who perished in an avalanche near Terrace, British Columbia on Sunday, March 22.

The victims were a 61-year-old businessman from Eastern Switzerland and his two sons. A well-known entrepreneur in his region, he led several companies in the real estate and investment sector and was widely cited in the media throughout his career.

Our thoughts and heartfelt sympathies go out to their loved ones in Switzerland and to all who knew them. We also wish a full and swift recovery to the guide who was critically injured in the same incident.

As a bridge between the Swiss and Canadian communities, we feel this loss deeply. We stand with the families during this unimaginably difficult time, and with all those in the mountain and heliskiing community who are grieving alongside them.
