In response to ongoing challenges with street litter and f***s around the neighbourhood, we've installed 3 pet waste bag stations across Hastings Crossing and 3 in Gastown in collaboration with the City of Vancouver – part of a wider push to keep our streets clean. These are in addition to our own pilot dispensers. It's a companion effort to our "p**p fairy" program with (an HxBIA member social enterprise!), whose team works 5 days a week in HxBIA and Gastown to respond to street cleaning needs across the neighbourhood.
Street cleanliness is a real challenge in our area, and we're tackling it from every angle we can. Thank you to City of Vancouver, Mission Possible, United We Can, Coast Mental Health, and our other community partners for supporting our cleaning initiatives.
