✨ Welcome, Sara Poidevin! ✨

We are excited to welcome as Mentor Program Lead for the Global Relay Bridge the Gap Fund.

In her new role, Sara will lead BTG’s mentorship program, connecting emerging Canadian cyclists with experienced current and former professionals — supporting riders on and off the bike.

🗣️ “Support from Bridge the Gap played an important role in my own development as an athlete. I’m excited to give back and support the next generation of Canadian riders as they pursue their goals.” — Sara Poidevin

is Canada’s first Elite World Champion!🌈🇨🇦

We could not think of a more deserving champion. Magdeleine is hardworking, humble, a team player, and one of the kindest people you will ever meet. Truly a role model.

A win this big brings our entire cycling community together and highlights the many people and programs who support Canadian riders along the way. BTG fund is proud to have played a small role in Magdeleine’s journey, from athlete grants and mentorship, to now seeing her already giving back as a mentor in the program at only 24 years old!

We love to see all the connections back to BTG from the team in Kigali. , current National Team road lead and former pro, was a prior BTG grant recipient and mentor, and is now building a successful road program as a coach for 🍁 Our current Managing Director, and Magdeleine’s former BTG mentor, was also on the ground supporting the team as a coach for Canada for this historic win.

Additionally, many riders on the team are currently engaged in our programs and invested in lifting others ❤️

Our mission has always been to help Canadian riders to reach the forefront of professional cycling, and Magdeleine’s victory will inspire countless Canadians to dream big for years to come!✨️
