Frog Hollow Harvest Festival: Village Vancouver Booth

Harvest Festival, hosted by the Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House, celebrates the harvest, showcases gardening, and provides a vegetable showcase and exchange! There will be live band music, puppet show performance, and information booths from local food network organizations. It’s a joyful outdoor get-together for families, seniors and neighbours of all ages and all backgrounds. It’s also an opportunity for the community to learn more about gardening, food security, and environmental sustainability.

Homemade Kombucha Brewing

Want to make your own Kombucha but don’t know how? In this Village Vancouver - West End Neighbourhood Food Network Urban Garden Club workshop with Eric Schwartz, we’ll walk you through the key steps, answer your questions, and leave you prepared with basic knowledge and recipes you need to get your first successful batch of Kombucha brewing and tasting great! Plus, participants will enjoy kombucha tasting at the end of the class.

A community seed library will be also be available! Pick up free seeds for your garden, or swap or donate seeds.

In this Village Vancouver Westside Neighbourhood Food Network workshop, we’ll learn the basics of hot water bath canning. You’ll get hands on canning experience and create a jar to take home!

We'll have a community seed library present - pick up free seeds for your garden, or swap or donate seeds.

Water Bath Canning is one of our summer workshops where you can learn the basics of water bath canning and how to safely preserve high‑acid foods such as jams, jellies, pickles, and certain fruits.
