As the Olympic Games open today, we’re feeling a little extra nostalgic.

Sixteen years ago, Abreast In A Boat had the incredible honour of being part of the Olympic celebrations right here at home — escorting the Olympic torch as it was carried by past Canadian Olympians into False Creek, BC. Paddling alongside those legends was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a proud moment in our history.

Today, as the world celebrates sport, teamwork, and perseverance, we’re reminded how powerful those moments can be — and how lucky we are to be part of a community that shares those same values.

Here’s to the athletes, the memories, and the magic of the Olympics.

🐎 🧨 We're getting ready to kick off the year of the Fire Horse next month! All teams and paddlers are invited to join the Dragon Boat BC float for the annual Chinatown Lunar New Year parade on Sunday February 22 to celebrate with the community, hand out red envelopes, and show off some paddling spirit! 🧧🧧

Holiday Giving in Action!
Each of our Abreast In A Boat crews takes on a special project during the holiday season, and this year our Abreast Up The Creek crew really stepped up!

At their recent holiday party, they collected food donations for the Food Bank. These boxes are packed and ready to help support our local Food Bank and spread a little extra cheer this season. Thank you to everyone who donated!
