In case you missed it: Cody Roberts of Daniel, WY has been indicted on a felony animal cruelty charge for the brutal killing of a young gray wolf.

This charge follows the tragic February 2024 incident in which Roberts ran down the wolf with a snowmobile, restrained her while she was injured, brought her into a bar for photos, and later shot and killed her. A hearing on January 28, 2026 will address a defense motion to dismiss the felony charge. The defense argues that Wyoming laws allowing the killing of predators conflict with the state’s animal cruelty statute and create an exemption from prosecution. They have also requested that opinion testimony be excluded, that Wyoming Game and Fish’s lead wolf biologist be barred from providing expert testimony, and that any prior wrongdoing by Roberts be deemed inadmissible.

Judge Richard Lavery will decide whether the case moves forward. If the motion is denied, the case will proceed to trial, currently scheduled for March 9, 2026.

The hearing will not be virtual. Members of the public may observe proceedings in person at the Sweetwater County Courthouse (Rock Springs) or the Sublette County Courthouse (Pinedale). Roberts, his attorney, and the judge will attend virtually.

The suffering this young wolf endured cannot be ignored, and we continue working toward a future where accountability is ensured, not only in her case, but for all wild carnivores who urgently need protection. Thank you to everyone who has raised their voices, your efforts matter!

Police willfully and wantonly shoot and kill their own police dog actively disarming a man with a gun.

That's right...the inept police officers KNEW and SAW they deployed their police dog and he was actively disarming. So these fu***ng inept police ALL opened fire on both their own police dog and the criminal.

Abolish police dogs. Here's why. And if you support police dogs in use during patrol, unfollow us. This is an endurement we shall pursue relentlessly.

Read the disingenuous video title. How is this "tragic"?!! This innocent dog's death is 100 percent the fault of the police. The police force dogs into brutal K9 training. Dogs are choked until unconscious by their police handlers. Dogs are kicked, hit, starved, sprayed with water and pepper spray, forced into exhaustion. That's the police dog training. Notice exactly ZERO police dog trainers refute this. Next time you see a police officer, ask them what happens during police dog training and they'll demure replying. Because all police know this in their own training.

Exactly ZERO dogs know that they can be killed or brutally beaten/stabbed but the police don't give a s**t. The police departments ALL refuse to buy bullet/knife proof vests to protect police dogs.

Then the brutally cruelty of the police? Over 50,000 police dogs are in service annually in America. Almost all are killed upon "retirement" because the police departments will NOT pay to rehabilitate police dogs back into public society.

I hope and pray that an excellent defense attorney successfully correlates criminal charges for killing a police dog should NOT be congruent to killing a human police officer. Because the police kill 50,000 police dogs at the end of their "retirement" which makes dogs, in the eyes of the police departments, as property and limited warranty of mortality. Etc...etc...this is a pretty easy legal bridge.
