Through Bob & Michael’s Place and the May Wah Hotel, 321 homes have been created, providing stable housing and strengthening the communities we serve.

At Bob & Michael’s Place, that commitment goes beyond housing. Lily Lee Community Health Centre, operated by Vancouver Coastal Health, brings health care directly into the neighbourhood, while a new art project and playground designed by Douglas Coupland create spaces for community and connection.

These are more than individual projects. Together, they show what people-centred revitalization can contribute to a vibrant city.

The 2026 Chinatown Solidarity Summit Report is out!

This year, 65 leaders representing 22 Chinatowns across the U.S. and Canada gathered in Vancouver for our 3rd Chinatown Solidarity Summit, exchanging strategies on small business support, community partnerships, and Chinatown revitalization.

The report captures key insights from the Summit and a roadmap for continued collaboration and coordinated action across North America’s Chinatowns.

The next intake of the Chinatown Impact Fund is NOW OPEN. The Impact Fund empowers local businesses and nonprofits as they grow, adapt, and strengthen their presence in Vancouver’s historic Chinatown.

What this supports:

📌 Digital Transformation
Strengthen your online presence and reach new audiences through digital marketing.

📌 Physical Improvement
Enhance storefronts and create more welcoming, accessible spaces.

📌 Business Advisory
Access expert support, including legal, HR, business and financial consultations.

Funding details:

💰 Up to $20,000 per project, covering up to 75% of total costs. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until funds are fully allocated.

(*For returning applicants, projects must be new and distinct, with a 50% cost share.)
