(including Lifeguards employed on city beaches), employees of the Pacific National Exhibition Board (including Playland), Parking Corporation of Vancouver
(EasyPark), Vancouver Native Housing Society, Portland Hotel Society (PHS) Community

Services Society, Federation of Post-Secondary Educators of BC
(College Faculty and Staff Associations throughout BC), British Columbia Institute of Technology Faculty Association, Co-Development Canada
(including Cafe Etico), and the Capilano University Students Association. The local comprises of over 2000 members with higher seasonal
representation during the operation of Playland and PNE fairtime

Lifeguard funding is in front of Vancouver City Council on April 22.

A motion to restore services at key beaches will be considered, and public support matters.

More than 2,600 people have already signed the petition.

CUPE Local 1004 members stand with Air Canada Flight Attendants. This strike is not just about working conditions — it is about workers defending their fundamental right to collective bargaining, and the right to be fairly paid for all hours worked.

Air Canada’s refusal to recognize the basic value of flight attendants’ time and labour is shameful. The Liberal government’s interference, taking away workers’ right to strike, it is unjust and outrageous.

Flight attendants are showing courage on the picket lines, and their struggle is a struggle for all workers.
