Studio Parents is an all-volunteer group which supports the st
udents, staff, programs and initiatives of the Studio Mini School via fundraising, volunteer engagement and social/community-building activities. In addition to a small Executive team, Studio Parents welcomes the involvement of parents and guardians of students enrolled in the Studio Program in four core groups:
Two Grade Parents for each grade work closely with students, student leadership, staff and parents on grade-specific social events and initiatives
Finance Committee: oversees fundraising and administers the Studio Parents group's finances
Enrichment Committee: works closely with staff and student leadership to support and enhance enrichment programs, such as Studio Sessions and field trips
Social Committee: collaborates with students, parents and staff to organize events that help to build Studio community, including the annual fundraiser and year-end/welcome potluck celebration
Studio Parents also works to enhance the flow of information between parents, students and staff via the Studio Parents website, this page and the Studio Parents Facebook group, and the semi-regular Studio News newsletter, as well as event-specific communications. The Studio Mini School program has no administrative staff or assistance, so parent volunteer engagement makes a huge difference to the quality of the students' experience.
