While Mr. Major is hard at work getting campus ready for September, Mr. Richardson has swapped history lessons for heavy lifting, helping move furniture and prepare classrooms for another amazing school year. Recognition Day is one of our favourite traditions of the year. It's a chance to celebrate the growth, perseverance, and achievements of every student.

Learning is rarely a straight path. It takes courage to tackle challenges, resilience to keep going, and determination to try again when things don't go as planned. Throughout the year, our students have embraced those challenges and accomplished incredible things through their hard work and dedication.

PowerPlay is a program that teaches young entrepreneurs how to develop a business. From marketing and figuring out a budget to manufacturing items for sale, Grade 6 students learn practical math, research, and business skills that culminate in our annual Power Play Student Market.

Last week, we showcased our students brilliant ventures and welcomed our community in to purchase student products and learn about their ideas for the Next Big Thing! Every year, 10% of student sales go to charity: this year, we were excited to raise $300 for BC Children's Hospital. We’re incredibly proud to share that our small but mighty school community raised $2,187 for the RBC Race for the Kids, earning 10th place out of more than 500 teams! 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who walked, ran, donated, and cheered us on. Your generosity and enthusiasm are a wonderful reminder of what’s possible when our community comes together for a great cause.

Every dollar raised will support BC Children’s Hospital, helping make a difference for children and families across our province. 💙
