why ‘emotional literacy for the financial nervous system?’

we are unable to receive, store and use financial literacy skills if our body-mind’s alarm system is going off🚨

$money$ is often a physical representation of our felt level of Safety and Stability — parts of our developmental experience that were formed before we had access to verbal language

~ the stories (whether experienced or inherited) that formed around money and our relationship to it are /un/ moved by verbal language

so how can we infuse new communications into these parts of ourselves?

through the language of the body
the body that has spent years in dance training
uniquely outfitting the Dancer with an advantage to begin bridge-building, 🌉
🗺️ map making,
connecting isolated islands of the psyche to new escape routes and pathways
connecting where you are to where you want to be 🤝

Dear members ☼ ◯ ☼ Let’s take a moment to reconvene, reflect, and recalibrate the organizational work of CADA/West.

Join us Sep 19 for our AGM on the 4th floor of the SFU Woodward's campus; take a left out of the elevators down the long hallway to the end, you'll find us!

you will hear, see, speak, offer, receive and move your body through “the blending of the senses" ((synaesthetic participation)) to communally complete the trajectory of an Annual General Meeting.

10:30 am -- coffee time!
Arrive for some caffeine + treats

11:00 am -- AGM start

This venue is accessible by a wheelchair ramp from the E Cordova St entrance and street level entrance on Hastings St., and elevators that service all floors. Gender assigned bathrooms are located by the elevators on all floors.

Dear members, September 10 is your final opportunity to apply for TSP this year.

With limited funds remaining—and requests expected to exceed the amount available—we will carefully review all applications and allocate the final subsidies as fairly as possible.

Please allow us additional time to complete this process. Applicants can expect to hear from us about the final allocations by September 30. We’ll also share more information about our approach once submissions close and the review is underway.

Thank you for your continued support during a year with fewer subsidy funds available. We hope to share news of an increased TSP fund after receiving the results of our Canada Council operating grant application in December.

Here’s to keeping dance alive and strong!
