🐈💿 Groove Cat Books and Records is the newest cool kid shop in the West End.⁠
⁠
Here you’ll find a great collection of new and used books, alongside some pretty sweet record finds for the music lovers.⁠
⁠
There’s a bit of everything. We found incredible jazz, blues, and metal records, poetry, history and classic literature books, some fun board games, and even a cozy little nook where you can sit and catch up on some reading.⁠
⁠
The real highlight though, was getting to meet the store’s manager: Chester! The cutest white and brown cat who now owns our hearts… and our wallets. ⁠

🌮 It’s National Taco Day! But oh boy, do we wish it were every day.⁠

Everyone has a favourite, some keep it classic, pile on the toppings, add lots of salsa, or try something new each time. There are lots of taco options around the West End, and today might just be the perfect excuse to go out and try a few.⁠

🍲❤️ The Cozy Wok is exactly the gap the West End needed: authentic Chinese-Asian cooking (think Saltfish & Chicken Fried Rice, Grandma's Slow-Braised Pork Belly with Mustard Greens) served in a relaxed, contemporary dining room.⁠

Owner Ted brought his Richmond restaurant experience to Denman and built something in between: time-tested recipes, North American plate presentation, and a shareable-plates menu made for happy hour with friends.⁠

Now that the weather is getting a little gloomier, it can be the perfect time of year to take your workouts inside. Good thing we have an right on Davie Street 🧡⁠

They have flexible class times and different membership options, so it’s easy to find something that works for you. Their classes are all led by a coach, and combine cardio, rowing and strength training. Just show up and get moving!⁠

serves it hot, and their crispy, panko-coated cutlets come as a full set, accompanied by rice, cabbage, tonjiru and a tray full of little extras to add some flavour: lemon salt, freshly ground sesame, pickles and a delicious katsu sauce.⁠

Mello has made its way to Robson Street, bringing their fluffy brioche Korean-style donuts, delicious coffee and a few fun new things to the neighbourhood.⁠

And yes, there’s actually room to sit and stay awhile! The interior is just as cute as the donuts, so grab your favourite and don’t forget to snap a pic 📸⁠
