This Thanksgiving, we’re taking a moment to reflect on gratitude, community, and the people who make the work we do possible. 🤎🍂

We are grateful for the women, youth, mentors, partners, supporters, and community members who continue to show up, share their gifts, and grow alongside us.

We also recognize that Thanksgiving may not be a moment of celebration for everyone. For many Indigenous Peoples, this time can carry complex and painful histories connected to colonization, displacement, and attempted assimilation.

We recognize and hold space for those stories, experiences, and memories. Long before the Thanksgiving traditions many of us know today, Indigenous Peoples across these lands had their own traditions of giving thanks, gathering, celebrating harvests, and honouring community.

For those who do celebrate Thanksgiving, may we do so intentionally, with love, gratitude and reflection, and by considering how the gratitude we express can also be reflected in how we care for, listen to, and show up for one another.

From all of us at Odihi, we are thankful for this community and wish you a meaningful Thanksgiving. 🤎

The Bigger Ideas Conference is so much more than a day on the calendar. It’s the people, the stories, the conversations, the behind-the-scenes moments, and the belief that when we create space for women to gather, something bigger happens.

A little look behind BIC 2026 and a reminder of why we keep building. 🛠️📚

September 30 is a day to remember, listen, learn, and reflect.

We honour residential school survivors, intergenerational survivors, their families and communities, and remember the children who never came home.

Truth and reconciliation is an ongoing responsibility, not just a day.

Every Child Matters. 🧡
