🌱Soul Food Street Farms’ Indigenous Garden Project: Sole Food Street Farms is a social enterprise urban farm in the heart of Vancouver. Recently, Central City Foundation provided a grant to Soul Food Street Farms to help fund an Indigenous garden project called Stl'a7áshen pen’emay, which means Feast Garden in the Squamish language. As Central City Foundation observes this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we recognize the importance of acknowledging Canada’s colonial history. We reflect on the atrocities of the residential school system, honour the survivors, and remember the thousands of children who never returned home.
