This Thanksgiving, we're grateful for the moments that bring families together. 🧡

For families facing a child's serious illness or injury, Thanksgiving can look a little different. Far from home, surrounded by uncertainty, the comfort of a warm meal, a familiar face, and time together can mean everything.

At Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon, we're more than a place to stay. We're a community of care, where families can share a meal, find comfort, and focus on what matters most, being together.

Today, we’re celebrating the teachers who help children keep learning, growing and feeling like themselves.

At Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon, our Education Program is led by a Certified Teacher who provides one on one and group learning opportunities for children of all ages. Through flexible, hands on activities tailored to each child’s needs and interests, the program helps bring learning, connection and a sense of routine into days that can look very different from home.

Because when a child’s medical journey changes where learning happens, a caring teacher can help keep curiosity, confidence and connection going.

This , we’re grateful for the educators who make space for every child to learn. ❤️

For over 43 years, Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon has surrounded families with the care, comfort, and support they need to stay close during their child’s medical journey. Because when a child is in the hospital, family does whatever it takes to stay and we make sure they can.

Together with our community, we have grown from a 13 room House to 73 rooms, expanded into Family Rooms inside hospitals, and continued to evolve to meet the changing needs of families across BC and Yukon.

Now, we look ahead to what comes next, Willow House. A second House, purpose-built for long-stay and larger families. With your support, we’ll double our capacity, and deepen our impact.
