Yesterday, Theresa celebrated her 66th birthday in a place she proudly calls home – alongside her beloved cats, George and Shadow.

At Oneesan (https://bit.ly/4nS2mk8), Theresa found more than housing. She found stability, support, and a community where she could truly thrive.

Today, she spends her time volunteering around the building and mentoring youth in her community.

For Rosemary, home wasn’t something she could take for granted. It was something she spent years searching for.

After years of moving through group homes and shared spaces without privacy or stability, Sanford Apartments — made possible through Streetohome supporters — finally gave her a place to call her own. A room. A community. A chance to breathe.

Today, Rosemary’s story is a reminder that housing is more than shelter. It’s dignity, belonging, and the foundation people need to move from surviving to thriving.

For many of us, "home" is a given. But for Rosemary, a resident at Sanford Apartments, home was a hard-won victory. Your contributions to Streetohome build a foundation for people like Rosemary to reclaim their lives. Thank you for making "home" a reality.

We’re used to answering “I’m fine." Even when we’re not.

This , we’re reminded that connection is more than proximity – it’s honesty, trust, and most importantly, being seen. Real connection asks a little more of us and gives a lot back. So, if there’s a conversation you’ve been avoiding, or meaning to start, maybe today is the day.

At Streetohome Foundation, strengthening connection is at the heart of building better mental health for individuals and communities alike. That belief is what drives initiatives like the Nanoose Bay Therapeutic Community Farm, where recovery isn’t something people go through alone, but something built together through shared responsibility, purpose, and community.

Some journeys begin with survival – not opportunity.
When Beatriz arrived in Vancouver, she faced homelessness, isolation, and serious health challenges. Each day was a struggle just to get by.

Thanks to STEP, funded by our generous donors, Beatriz found a safe home and the support she needed to rebuild her life. Today, she works as a Personal Support Worker and gives back to her community.

Your support helps more people like Beatriz not just survive – but thrive. 💛

Beatriz’s journey from instability to purpose shows what’s possible with the right support. With compassionate support from STEP, funded by Streetohome, Beatriz rebuilt her life, and now helps others do the same.

Today, we’re wearing pink with purpose.

On Pink Shirt Day, our team at Streetohome Foundation is standing together against bullying – in all its forms. Because bullying doesn’t just happen in schoolyards, it shows up in stigma and in silence too. We believe everyone deserves dignity. Everyone deserves compassion. Everyone deserves a safe place to land.

We’re proud to wear pink as a reminder that kindness is powerful – and community is everything. And building inclusive communities starts with something really simple: Showing up for one another.
