The day Hem was started ➡️ the day he met Lilly!! 🩷🩷🩷

Hemlock has been adopted by the most lovely family. He will continue to learn and grow out in Delta alongside his very own kind, caring, brave, and fun kid 😊

We miss this sweet boy but couldn’t be more grateful for where and who he’s ended up with 🩷

Thank you rescue team for ensuring the safe journey of these deserving horses and ponies from entry to graduation from the program!

Our sweet boy Hemlock is looking for his forever home! 🩷
Applications are now open to SRC members and Hemlock can’t wait to meet you!

The time has come to sell Hemlock, our Happy Horse.

Hemlock came to the Rescue program in May 2021 as a sweet, friendly and curious 2-year-old. Originally bred to play polo, Hemlock was deemed to be lacking the physical nature required for the sport.

From the beginning, Hemlock attended natural horsemanship lessons with Michelle Young. He started under saddle in July of 2022. He has easily adapted to a bitless bridle and snaffle. When out and about, Hemlock is comfortable around busy roads, trucks and construction sites. He has come a long way with his training but is still a baby and would appreciate a home with turnout and consistent training Hemlock would make a lovely all-rounder, trail horse, pony club mount or a low level dressage horse.

Lucky is the soul that welcomes Hemlock into their heart. His calming presence and genuine enjoyment of his time with people is rare and magical. When the world is too much, you can always lean in for a Hemlock hug.

Southlands Riding Club would like to thank Carly Saba, Hemlock’s handler and caregiver, as the many volunteers that have spent time with Hemlock. We would also like Vicki Romanin, who has sponsored Hemlock since Dec 2021. He truly has been surrounded by a wonderful group or supporters.
