Vancouver catholic Worker some Catholic Workers in Vancouver live/pray/gather/party/organize at Samaritan House - 1143 E Pender A house of hospitality in the Catholic Worker tradition.

A place of open hands, open hearts and open minds. We bumble along, trying to create a new society in the shell of the old. We offer hospitality on a small scale in a family home in East Vancouver. Folks in need of a place to stay at no charge find us by word of mouth.

Something you can do tomorrow - September 30th.

Something you can do tomorrow - September 30th.

The Truth of the matter is, Indigenous people were made poor, kept in poverty, and then given some crumbs and told to catch up to the rest of y’all. The crumbs don’t make a loaf and we are still struggling to even attain parity.
September 30, a crumb of a day for us. Traumas on display Day. Tomorrow is going to be triggering and emotional for some, myself included. A bunch of us Native businesses are getting together at Sisters Sage, to offer our beautiful handmade goods.
Stop by from 10-6, orange shirt or not.
Reconciliation is many things. Financial sovereignty is our safety. Support First Nations businesses.
