GFA Month Coach Feature ✨
Our final GFA Month Feature celebrates Boby Wagner!
With more than 18 years of experience in Gymnastics for All, Boby continues to make an incredible impact as both a coach and coach developer, helping shape the future of gymnastics in Northern BC and beyond.
Growing up in Tsimshian Territory and reconnecting with her ancestral community of Nadleh Whut’en First Nation, Boby brings a deep understanding of community, belonging, and inclusion into everything she does. As a neurodiverse Indigenous woman, she has become highly skilled at creating safe, welcoming, and inclusive spaces for athletes, coaches, and communities alike.
Boby’s contributions to Gymnastics for All are extensive. From delivering camps and programs in rural and remote communities such as Haida Gwaii, to choreographing group performances, mentoring coaches, facilitating Gym Foundations courses, and serving on both Zone 7 and GymBC GFA committees, her dedication to the sport is inspiring.
She also brings creativity and innovation into programming by incorporating Rhythmic Gymnastics and Acro elements into artistic-based classes, while continuing to champion FUNdamental movement skill development for young athletes.
Beyond gymnastics, Boby is a strong advocate for a multi-sport approach through her work with local Indigenous youth in mountain biking and snowboarding, continuing to build positive connections and opportunities within her community.
Thank you, Boby, for your leadership, passion, and commitment to creating meaningful experiences through sport. 💙
💙 Thank you for celebrating GFA Month with us throughout May and for helping recognize the incredible athletes, coaches, and clubs that make up our Gymnastics for All community.
